Welcome to Labascus Armory, where passion meets expertise in firearms and safety training. Established in 2019 by the Davenport family, Labascus Armory began as a humble gun store but quickly blossomed into something much more profound.
Driven by a shared love for firearms and a dedication to promoting responsible gun ownership, Chad and Sara Davenport, along with their children Matthew and Abigail, embarked on a journey to provide a comprehensive array of services to their community.
Chad and Sara, both certified CCDW (Concealed Carry Deadly Weapons) instructors, saw an opportunity to not only offer a wide selection of firearms but also to educate individuals on the importance of safe and lawful gun usage. They expanded Labascus Armory's offerings to include Kentucky CCDW courses, empowering citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights responsibly.
Meanwhile, Chad and Matthew's passion for hunting led them to become instructors with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Hunters Safety program. Recognizing the significance of proper training in hunting safety, they made it their mission to ensure that enthusiasts could enjoy the great outdoors while respecting wildlife and their fellow hunters.
As a family-owned and operated business, Labascus Armory takes pride in fostering a welcoming and educational environment for all customers. Whether you're a seasoned firearm enthusiast or a novice seeking guidance, the Davenport family is committed to providing top-notch service and expertise every step of the way. At Labascus Armory, safety, education, and community are at the heart of everything we do.
Yes. Most states still require a CCDW license to carry a concealed weapon, and Kentucky’s permitless carry laws do not apply out of state. A CCDW license will also assist in weapons purchases from licensed dealers and provide the holder with training and familiarity with gun laws.
Carry of concealed deadly weapons by Kentucky residents visiting other states is governed by the laws of those other states. At this time, only states that require no license for any person to carry a concealed weapon would allow Kentucky residents to carry concealed deadly weapons with no CCDW license. The laws of those states may also differ on what weapons may be carried.
Effective March 1, 1991, all hunters born on or after January 1, 1975, must carry proof of valid hunter education certification. Hunters may use hunting licenses or electronic documentation with proof of identity.
